Santa Arrives by Train to Launch Christmas Season at Castletroy Shopping Centre

Castletroy Shopping Centre officially launched its Christmas season with the much anticipated arrival of Santa Claus, who travelled in by festive train to meet local families.

Crowds gathered early to witness the event, which saw Santa step off the decorated train shortly after noon to greet waiting children. His arrival marked the beginning of the centre’s Christmas programme, which will run throughout December.

The event featured stilt walkers and a number of festive characters, who interacted with visitors and added to magic of the afternoon.

Santa will now be stationed in the centre on selected dates leading up to Christmas for meet-and-greet sessions and photo opportunities.
